The Clay County Fair, is one of the largest county fairs in America.
The fair is located in Spencer, Iowa.
My day is starting off with another radio interview with George on 107.7 KICD-FM.
George is a great interviewer and I always look forward to talking to him!
Today is also my last cooking demo.
This picture makes me laugh. When my son sees it,
he will come up with a funny caption for it.
Below are a few pictures from The Clay County Fair.
They have a huge electric train display.
I love to watch the look on the kids faces as
the train travels past them.
I also love to look at the cake displays.
The main thing that people do at this fair is shop!
I confess, I got caught up in the shopping frenzy too!
My nieces wanted Pillow Pets and being a good aunt, I bought them.
My husband Stan, is flying to Iowa today,
to spend his birthday with me. I can't wait to see him!
Check back on Friday, I will be posting my
Baked Crab Rangoon recipe!
Check out my blogging buddy, Bo's Blog (say that three times fast), Bo's Bowl. Not only does he have great giveaways, his recipes are incredible! One visit to his blog and you will see why I faithfully follow it.
Also check out my friend Pam's blog, Pam's Midwest Kitchen Korner, for more great recipes! Once you read her blog, she will be your friend too!
The Clay County Fair sounds like fun! Happy Birthday to your hubby, Stan! Have a lovely day!

ReplyDeleteWhen I get home late next week and things get back to normal, I will visit your blogs and catch up on all I have been missing these last few weeks.
It sounds like an amazing place to spend some time at. I just love the horse cake 'Ginger' but being a lover of horses I suppose it would appeal to me...... Diane
