Sober As A Judge Biscuits

Sober As A Judge Biscuits

4 cups Bisquick or Jiffy Baking Mix
1/2 cup sugar
12 ounces ginger ale or club soda
2 tablespoons melted butter

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.  Mix well.

Pour into well greased muffin tins.

Bake 14 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

This recipe is a biscuit that looks like a muffin.

Maybe it should be called a bismuff or a muffit.  Whatever you call it, spread butter and jelly on it and you will call it good!

My new cookbook is available at schools, businesses, hospitals, and book fairs in cities across the United States.  Be sure to pick up a copy or two, when you see them.  They make great gifts!

  1. Please pass the biscuits this way! I love these with that crispy looking edge. A must try!

  2. What a great idea! I always have these ingredients on hand and they look really tasty. Is there anything that doesn't go with a great biscuit? I would have to say no. Thanks, Linda!

  3. I was wondering where the sober came from but then I saw the ginger ale. Kind of reminds me of using 7up (not Sprite though, oddly) for Popeye's biscuits.
