Is it hard boiled or raw?

At this time of the year the refrigerator is full of eggs ready to be boiled and dyed.  I occasionally mix up which ones are raw and which ones are cooked, and no one wants to crack open the wrong type of egg.

To check and see if an egg is cooked, spin it around.  If it wobbles, it is raw.  If it spins smoothly and is easy to stop, it is cooked.

My new cookbook is available at schools, businesses, hospitals, and book fairs in cities across the United States.  Be sure to pick up a copy or two, when you see them.  They make great gifts!

  1. Interesting, but I never have enough eggs in the fridge that I am likely to mix them with only two of us. Have a good day Diane
