Garlic Tip

A friend of mine recently shared his cooking disaster with me.  He was trying to make a detox drink and the recipe called for two cloves of garlic.  He didn't know what a clove of garlic was, so he put in two bulbs of garlic in his drink.  Luckily his wife showed up before he sampled the strong concoction and saved the day by explaining what a clove was.

My friend said he was sure he was not the only one who didn't know what a clove of garlic was and asked me  to post it on my blog.  So here you go my friend.

When you purchase garlic at the grocery store, you are purchasing a head or bulb of garlic.

When you break it apart, the small crescent moon shaped pieces are called a cloves.
