Before SPAM sent me the box with their products in it, the only thing I had made with SPAM were sandwiches. I have had so much fun creating recipes using it! I am amazed at all the delicious dishes you can make with SPAM, like my SPAM-ellini recipe.

I'm sure there are myriad ways to enjoy Spam. Bill's mom would send him to school with Spam sandwiches; straight from the can and placed on buttered bread. Have a good day, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI have had spam exactly the way you have, did not know of any other way to use it. You have opened my eyes and mind. Rosemary
ReplyDeleteMy mom would skice it then make her meatloaf topping..ketchup with brown sugar and smear it ontop and bake it until brown and carmelized..it was wonderful
ReplyDeleteWe did have SPAM a few times when I was a kid, but we didn't like it very much, we much preferred Deviled Ham spread . . . I think they still make it! If I were going to have SPAM, I think it wold be best in an omelet, with lots of veggies!
ReplyDeleteI love Spam! In S'pore, we eat it with instant noodles sometimes & tastes great :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I've just posted an article on Amazing Kitchen Tips (Part I). Thought I'd share it with u :)
Spam is good, I usually grill spam. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog from my friend Pam's Blog, wow, does this post on Spam bring back childhood memories, when I thought Spam was a food group! Spam was cheaper back then (45 years ago) however I will tell you that I remember more often than not having friend Spam and Spam Sandwiches.
Mitchell
Yep, my mom used to make us fried SPAM sandwiches as a kid.
