Travel Tip & South Africa

Have you ever left a cell phone cord at a hotel?  I did once.  I don't know why, but they never seem to have enough places to plug your electronic devises into.  I plugged my phone into an outlet that was hidden by the bed, and walked off and left with just the phone.  Now, I never lose my cords, thanks to this travel tip!

Plug all of your electric cords into a power strip.  Then you can plug the strip with all of your cords, into the only conveniently place outlet in your hotel room.  No hidden cords to be left behind.

We just returned from a trip to Cape Town, South Africa.  I LOVE South Africa!  The food is delicious, the scenery beautiful, the people are friendly, and they speak English!

During our last two trips to South Africa, we stayed with our friends Kevin and Sue.  If you look up the word "Hospitality" in the dictionary, I am sure there will be a picture of Kevin and Sue there.

Sue, is also an excellent cook!
She whipped up a delicious Cream of Vegetable soup for us.

And I think everyone had at least seconds of her Bacon and Butternut Squash Quiche

They have two son's. Their youngest son, Andy, loves to surf.

Lucky for him, their house is just a few steps from the ocean.

Their oldest son, James and his lovely wife Gillian, live in the same charming town as Kevin and Sue do.  We were able to spend time with them everyday.

We were in Cape Town, with Passion Play Ministries International.  I was so happy that we got to spend so much time with our cast and crew of the Passion Play of Cape Town.

We had a fabulous dinner with the local board.

They served Bobotie and other South African dishes.

Mixed in with all of the meetings, were so many fantastic meals!  The seafood in South Africa is fresh and scrumptious!

One of my favorite meals on this trip was a pasta dish with fresh diced apples and a Kingklip fish fillet.  I have recreated the recipe and plan to make it many more times.

Stop back on Friday, for that yummy pasta recipe
from South Africa!

Next week I will have my husband's new favorite dessert recipe, Malva Pudding, and pictures of a "Braai".

On my Facebook page, I have posted more photos from my trip.

A big THANK YOU, to all who made the trip so special for us!  The food, fellowship, and accommodations
were an incredible blessing!
We love you all!

    1. Thanks, Bo! I am always in a rush when I am getting ready to leave the hotel, so it has really helped having all the cords in one place.
