Honduras

We just returned from a trip to Honduras.   We went to support the Passion Play of Tegucigalpa, which is one of 15 cities, around the world, that host our presentation.  For more information, visit our Passion Play Ministries International website.

Our PPMI Support Team from the USA and South Africa.
The President of the National Congress of Honduras, Juan  Orlando Hernandez, and his wife attended the first night of the play.  Several other members of the government were also present.  In this photo is the President of Congress, his wife, my husband Stan, me, and our son, Tyler.

On the second night of the production, the Mayor Of Tegucigalpa, Ricardo Alvarez, attended.

It was the second time the Mayor has attended the play.  Last year, he was there to preform a ribbon cutting ceremony, for their inaugural production.  He is very supportive of the Passion Play of Tegucigalpa.
The local press gave the Passion Play of Tegucigalpa great coverage.  In this photo, they are interviewing my husband Stan.

Below are pictures from The Passion Play of Tegucigalpa production.

It was a wonderful trip.  Honduras is one of our favorite places to travel.  The people are friendly and instantly become your friends.

I wanted to take her home!
My friend Cesar, a local photographer,
gave me a book about styling food.

Around every corner in Honduras,
there is something beautiful to look at.

Next Tuesday, I will post pictures of the local cuisine.

Check back on Friday, when I will post two Sweet Potato recipes.

  6. Oh lovely place! I have a friend from Honduras, actually my classmate in Master of Education here in Taipei. We often eat out discovering dishes near our school. She's nice, and left after 2 years. She's inviting me to come and visit her country, looking at your photos... hmmm, I will plan to come and visit her :)
