This cookbook looks great. Sometimes, a simple recipe is all you have time for....or all you have money for.
ReplyDeleteI follow Bo's Bowl, too. It's one of my favorites! He has the best dessert/treat recipes.
Those aprons are really nice. Of course the cook book is even better. Diane

ReplyDeleteNice! I hope I don't win, because then I'll have to learn how to cook.... (my husband does it all).
ReplyDeleteWait, I'll just give the book to him. Whew, diverted it once again!
I'm a follower. :) Love to win the apron/cookbook!!
ReplyDeleteNice apron. I don't own an Apron so would be nice to have one.
ReplyDeleteVery good! Mindy and I tried the dry rub for the grilled ribeyes this weekend. I used plain McCormick's paprika. Although it made for a beautiful steak and really helped seal in the juices, it didn't add quite as much flavor as we would have liked. Probably going to try it again substituting one of the tablespoons of paprika with Barnicle Dust and maybe try a different paprika. Half the fun of cooking is experimenting! Thanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteHi David, I am glad you tried the recipe. when I am serving this recipe to kids or adults who hate spicy food I use the regular paprika But when I grill this up for my family, we use the spicy paprika. It is a good way to introduce rubs to new cooks who are afraid of using spices. It gives them a place to start and gives them the confidence to experiment with spices. I am going to look for the Barnicle Dust, is sounds like something we would love.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for the wonderful comments! I am swamped at the moment getting ready to leave next week for my cooking demos. I love reading the comments so keep them coming! When I get a chance I will check in and see what is happening at your blogs!
