Recipe: Malted Vanilla Pudding

Malted Vanilla Pudding

6 1/2 cup (5.1 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding
1/3 cup malted milk powder
3 cups cold milk

In medium bowl, combine pudding mix and malted milk powder. Mix well.  Add milk.  Whisk until well blended.  Refrigerate until set.  Garnish with whipped topping and slightly crushed malted milk balls if desired.  Makes 6 servings.

This is a new recipe that will be featured in my BUSY WOMAN'S 3 & 4 INGREDIENT COOKBOOK.  This cookbook should be out next year.  It is also one of the recipes I am making for my "Quick & Easy Desserts" cooking demo on Sunday.
Main Street at the Iowa State Fair
This is where I judge the cooking contests.

Yesterday was the first day of the Iowa State Fair.  I love this fair!  I grew up in Iowa, so being here at the fair brings back so many happy memories of being here with my friends and family when I was a kid.  On Tuesday I will take you on a tour of some of my favorite things to do and see at the fair.
I judged a Holiday Desserts and Cookie contest on Thursday.  The winning recipes were incredible!  Simple and delicious.

I get the recipes for the winning recipes in a couple of days and will post them at that time.  Keep checking back because you won't want to miss them!

Below are prize winning cakes that I thought you might enjoy seeing.
Check out the great giveaway at my blogging buddy, Bo's Blog (say that three times fast), Bo's Bowl.   Not only does he have great giveaways,  his recipes are incredible!  One visit to his blog and you will see why I faithfully follow it.

Another great giveaway can be found at my friend Pam's blog, Pam's Midwest Kitchen Korner.  Please check out her incredible blog and sign up for your chance to win!

  2. Linda, I love, love, love state fairs! There is just something so wholesome and wonderful about going to the fair... well, maybe the food you eat while there is not so wholesome (In Texas we will deep fry ANYTHING... and, it's all good). But, I love all the quilts and art and food contests... the animals and the music... The Bird Show is outstanding... I ramble... October will be here before you know it!! Fair time for us. Looking forward to the recipes! I think my grandson would love the malted pudding!
